Olive green/pearl bedlah

I found this gorgeous painted charmeuse at Spotlight and knew I had to get it. I’d been thinking about a pearl-trimmed costume for a while, and this fabric was perfect! Since the pattern is in almost stripes horizontally, it won’t work for a circle skirt so I picked up some plain charmeuse in a honey cream and an olive to coordinate.

So far I’ve almost covered the bra. The cups are almost finished, and I just need to add pearl swags to the second side. I draped the fabric on the bottom half of the cups to hide the seam needed to cover the curved cup, and I’ll extend this drape into the straps. I’m hoping to continue this drape theme in the belt, adding more swags of pearl beads and rhinestone chain.
